Be the Jung type of therapist

Carl Jung (one very famous psychologist and a constant pain in the ass for students of Psychology); once said "Know all theories. Master all the techniques. But as you touch another human soul, just be another human". And I never though Carl Jung would make that much sense so easily (to be fair he does say a lot of really complex things).
There is nothing worse in your life than having a bad therapist. Not that I speak from personal experience, although I do plan to attend at least some therapy very soon.... as a student of psychology, I realize how easily one can mess with the brain. When you say that words are sharper than swords, I don't think people realize how true it is. And when those words are backed by a position of authority and knowledge, from someone who's supposed to understand your brain better than you do (according to many), they are literally treated like the Bhagavad Gita. Now imagine; that instead of treating you like a normal person, your therapist, a person who's supposed to know better, be right for you and your mental health, constantly tries to fix you.... won't it feel like you need fixing?
Why do people not understand that there is no technique or strategy or therapy above empathy?
If you cannot feel what that person is feeling, if you cannot understand them and talk to them beyond their disorder or their labelled 'problem', you are not in a position to fix them. I have never understood the problem of transfer or counter transfer in psych because constantly I hear textbooks and experts saying that 'we cannot get emotionally attached to clients because we might transfer our feelings and judgements onto them'. But why is that an excuse for being emotionally distant? Yes. Transfer should be avoided. But in the sense that you do not let feelings and judgements you have interfere with the mental well-being of your client. That does not been taking emotion out of the picture.
You cannot treat a human without being human. That's so dumb.
Please. Stop being the one who messes up more than they are supposed to fix.
Love, Ri.
